If I Give Up Coffee How Long Until I Can Drink It Again Without Getting a Headache
Exactly today I haven't had a single drop of booze or coffee in 15 months.
A couple of my friends on Facebook & Twitter asked me to write near my experience, so here it is, in a nutshell.
With over a year of no alcohol & coffee, I did observe some side effects.
Here is what I learned.
I relieve $m every month
Afterward 2 months I noticed that I had $1000 more on my banking company account. Yep, that'south a lot, just practise the math and you find information technology'southward not that much.
I live in New York. In order to spend $thousand on alcohol I only take to spend $33 everyday. Assume that I take 2-3 cocktails every other twenty-four hours (which are $10 each without tip), including some wine bottles every month for at domicile I tin easily spend $1000.
Some might call back that this is heavy alcoholism, only trust me when I say that having i-2 drinks everyday in New York is more than normal.
As well, going out drinking ways that the occasional dinner & snacks are more frequent. You lot don't simply drink, you become hungry and buy some food. And before y'all noticed it, you spend $1000.
Less gossip
If there is i thing I noticed quite early, then it's the lack of social interaction my new diet brought with information technology. Here is what happened:
- You don't really go out anymore. It's exhausting to explicate over again and once again why you don't drink and NO as well one drink is not okay.
"Let'south get for a drink" is so engraved in our lives, because who says "Hey, let'due south but encounter upwardly equally sober people and talk about stuff" -- Why the fuck would you do that? "Let'south become a drink" needs no explanation. Information technology'southward a thing, everyone knows what happens next.
My sleep quality increased
Removing booze from my diet increased my sleep quality drastically. And I'm not talking about "falling asleep" simply the actual sleep quality.
You lot sure do fall comatose easier with 1-2 glasses of beer or wine, simply the actual sleep quality might suffer. I slumber meliorate, and I wake upwardly with more energy. Before I ever ruined my mornings, fifty-fifty if I only had two beers at nighttime I could feel information technology in the morning (if you're in your early twenties, ignore this, it doesn't affect you yet).
No coffee, less panic, less stress
This might exist something more personal and non related to everyone. But removing java from my diet helped me become more relaxed. Coffee always made me stressed out. It increased my chance of having feet and also fucked up my digestion. Removing coffee/caffeine from my diet not only fabricated me more than relaxed, I as well poop like a king.
Besides that, I beloved the smell and taste of coffee. An occasional decaf will practice the play a joke on. In the summer I now drink ice tea, in the winter regular tea.
I establish out that "Going for a coffee" turned out to be more than of a social activity than the actual craving for coffee. Keep the social habit, replace coffee with something else.

Overall, I'm very happy nigh my determination and have no desire to start drinking once more. I'chiliad also not telling you to exercise the same, if yous're happy with how things are going, don't modify anything.
I changed my habits out of curiosity and I like how it turned out.
PS: Before someone asks. I practise non smoke cigarettes. I too don't smoke weed. I also don't take any drugs whatsoever. (I have Internet, that's addiction plenty for me)
